Grade 350 Cast Iron – EN-GLJ-350
EN-GJL-350, formerly BS1452 grade 350, grey cast iron available in bar form in lengths up to 3m, can be supplied in rounds, squares and flats. HSS supples EN-GJL-350 conforming to EN 1561 from stock throughout the UK. Our grade 350 bar can be cut to length as required.
Grade 350 cast iron is a grey iron which contains graphite in the form of flakes, it has good machinability and excellent surface finish. EN-GJL-350 grey iron is more brittle than SG iron grades but offers good compressive strength and also good noise and vibration damping. The graphite offers lubricating properties which has advantages in sliding wear applications.
If you need higher tensile strength than is offered by grade 350 grey iron then consider SG iron grades for tensile strength in the range 400-700+ N/mm2.
EN-GJL-350 grey cast iron supplied conforming to BS EN 1561 (2011), equivalent to ISO 185 (2005)
